Biden Implements Asylum Restrictions in Effort to Manage Border

 President Biden has issued new executive actions to address the high number of migrants arriving at the US-Mexico border. 

These actions include the quick removal of migrants who enter the US illegally without processing their asylum requests, once a daily threshold is reached and the border becomes overwhelmed. 

The administration also unveiled measures to speed up immigration cases and alleviate pressure on immigration courts. While Biden defended his decision, some immigration activists criticized it as a step in the wrong direction. 

The White House stated that these actions will be implemented when encounters at the Southern Border exceed manageable levels.
